Hunstanton is west Norfolk's top holiday spot. So if you can stand the crowds it makes a good base for a wildlife holiday. There is a wide choice of accomodation and food in the town and you are ideally placed for a large selectionof reserves and country parks.
Birdlife in the area is good with Fulmar breeding on the towns cliffs. Seawatching can be rewarding and in thespring and autumn various migrants have been recorded. A long staying Sardinian Warbler in spring 2002 is a good example. During the winter Hunstanton is a good spot to see Purple Sandpiper in Norfolk. Check out thre groynes and ski ramp at the south end (past the amusements).
