CHOSELEY BARNS

Choseley Barns will certainly not keep you occupied all day, but, if you are in the area (Titchwell RSPB Reserve is just a short drive away) it is well worth driving by and having a look. The area is regarded as Norfolks best site for Corn Bunting. Tree Sparrow are also frequently seen as are Little Owls.. O the surrounding fields keep an eye open for Red-legged and Grey Partridge as well as Stock Dove, Yellohammer and mixed finch flocks

DIRECTIONS

Travelling east along the A149 coast road, just after the entrance to Titchwell RSPB Reserve and BEFORE Briarfields Hotel, turn right by the Titchwell village sign. Carry on along this minor road for approx. one mile and you will see the barn and mast. Please park sensibly. Whilst driving along keep a careful watch on the trees for perched Little Owl. It is permissable to walk a short distance along the hedge lined track here.

I have found that another good site for Corn Bunting is to carry on along the minor road for about 2 more miles, right to the top of the hill where the wires run over the road. They often perch here early in the morning in good numbers (winter is best).
